NOTHING Launch ‘Tired Of Tomorrow’ Limited Vinyl Charity Auctions
Up for auction is an extremely rare, one-of-a-kind version of NOTHING‘s new album Tired of Tomorrow on clear vinyl with a custom LP jacket designed by neighborhood friends of the band. The jackets have been hand-painted over the original “Vertigo Flowers” limited press record covers as part of a project that NOTHING put together with local Philadelphia students to raise awareness for the arts.
The record itself is part of the much sought-after clear vinyl press that NOTHING‘s label Relapse Records produces but does not sell to the public. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to benefit the Kensington Soccer Club. This press comes with a standard album cover jacket and insert (pictured) in addition to the one-of-a-kind graffiti cover.
The auctions are available now via eBay at this location.
Read more info about these special records from the band’s Nicky Palermo:
“I found these extra Vertigo Covers laying around and had some friends from home start writing on them. We all grew up in the same neighborhoods in Philadelphia and for the most part under the same shitty circumstances the city has to offer. As a band we’ve donated to several non-profits but none yet to a Philadelphia-based one that didn’t seem like a shady city scam. I met “his name” and he told me about KSC and what he was doing and it seemed like a perfect mix of exactly what I was looking for and the right amount of DIY. A lot of kids get into stealing and drugs down here because they really just can’t afford to get into any organized sports. So we seen how people were flipping the original press and we decided to combat that with the ultimate hard to find version and help out some kids who really need it.”
